Entropia Universe download[edit]

Before downloading you might want to have a look at the system requirements.

Downloading Entropia Universe is fairly easy, it's a multiple-step process but mostly running automatically. First you download and install the installer, which installs the so called 'Client Loader' which then downloads the actual game content. Depending on your connection speed and how many planets you want to download the whole process can take from a couple of minutes to up to several hours.

Downloading the Entropia Universe installer[edit]

The installer is a rather small .exe file of about 10MB. It's used for installing basic files, most important the Client Loader (CL) that enables further download of the actual game content.

It is highly recommended to download the installer from the official website (entropiauniverse.com) only:

• either via the download page: http://www.entropiauniverse.com/download/

• Short installation instruction displayed - you can ignore them

Downloading dynamic content[edit]

Dynamic content can only be downloaded after the installation of the Client Loader. Dynamic content is usually ingame content of the individual planets and destinations, it can be downloaded/updated while running the game. For further info please refer to the installation section below.

Entropia Universe installation[edit]

Please note: The visual appearance depends on system settings.

• Find the .exe file in your downoad folder, right-click, if available choose 'Run as Administrator', otherwise choose 'Run'

• Confirm the execution of the file

• The setup might need to install and/or configure additional software

• On the setup welcome screen click 'Continue'

• Accept the EULA ('End User License Agreement')

• Choose the installation folder, the required size will be 100-200 MB (actual game content can require from 6 to up to 100 GB but can be stored in a different folder)

• Confirm the installation with the given parameters, after that the installation starts of the so-called 'Client Loader' starts

• Choose the language of the Client Loader

• The Client Loader might start with downloading an update

• Quite likely the Client Loader will also download 'required content', meanwhile you can click the 'Tools' button

• The 'Options' tab in the 'Tools' window, you might want to change the defaults, for example window mode instead of fullscreen

• The 'Folders' tab in the 'Tools' window, here you can set the folder for the majority of ingame content, depending on on how many planets you want to play this folder can be between 6 and 80+ GB in size

64-bit client[edit]

To ensure you use the 64-bit client:

• Click the 'Tools' button in the Client Loader

• Make sure the checkbox 'Use 64-bit client' is checked. If necessary click 'Ok'.
