Turning and overall driving has changed. As far as I got to read a few days back, Bugbear said they didn't change anything specific for that to happen. But yet on PC it feels different. Wreckfest ReviewWreckfest has somehow survived a long, slow, borderline dead development. I bought this game straight from the Next Car Game website in 2013, before it was available on steam and the tech demo that came with it at the time was absolutely brilliant fun.

I saw the potential of this game’s engine being put into a title as big as Bugbear’s previous FlatOut games and I couldn’t control my excitement. Then 4 years passed. We got a few cars, some tracks and that was about it. Next Car Game became one of those games where once every few months I would go back to it and go “huh, they added one new thing, neat.” I still did not regret my purchase, because the tech demo was worth it for the money alone. But then in came THQ of all companies to pick up the slack and provide funding for “Next Car Game: Wreckfest”. It was a massive surprise to see that logo when I booted up the game for my random check-up on what – if anything – had changed. All of a sudden, Bugbear had awoken from their slumber, ready to finally start making Wreckfest into a full goddamn game. Now we have loads of cars, tracks, a career mode in the works, steam workshop support and so much more. This new stream of content is rekindling that excitement I had for this game 4 years ago.

I’m playing Wreckfest again and it’s still so damn fun at its core, but now there’s so much more to actually do!Wreckfest runs buttery smooth on my rig, which hasn’t changed since I bought the game. The graphics are nice in the parts that have been fleshed out and the physics and vehicle handling is superb. Audio is solid as well, with nice big chunky sounds popping whenever you smash, scrape or bump into anything. There’s still A LOT to be worked on for Wreckfest, so here’s hoping this revival can keep Bugbear going on the project. If you love seeing spectacular collisions and are interested in a racing game that’s more realistic than the likes of Burnout and FlatOut, this is the game to look for.Extra Tags: Wreckfest, Download Wreckfest, Wreckfest Download, Free Wreckfest, Wreckfest Free, Wreckfest Game, Wreckfest play.
