Hello:eBay has a number of links described as 'Contact Us' - but of course, they don't mean it. Immediately after submitting a question, they tell you they can't really give personal responses. This has a certain, perfect. Institutional insanity to it.Now that I've cleared my throat, let me get to my rather small point. Is there a list of symbols / icons to be found anywhere on the eBay site?; with, of course definitions of what these symbols / icons mean? (On maps, these symbols would be easily found, under the heading of 'Legend.'

)Recently, I've noticed that a red diagonal corner has appeared at the upper left of items you are watching in your 'Watch List.' (Within this red diagonal there is a clock symbol / icon in white.) Does anyone know what this means? I used to think it appeared next to items ending within less than 24 hours, but this doesn't seem to be the case. Two requests:1) Is there a list of symbols / icons, with definitions, to be found anywhere on the eBay site? (Really, I've looked and can't find it.)2) Can anyone (even someone who works for eBay) tell me what this red diagonal corner with the white clock within means?Any and all answers (or attempts at answers) much appreciated.

Hello Dear Gee:Thank you so much for being the first to reply to my question. Still I have to tell you, that the 'Icon Legend' to be found, as you directed, in the 'Purchase History', does not show the symbol / icon I described or am (still) trying to find.

The Icon Legend, as you say, is found under the Purchase History, but as I mentioned, this red diagonal stripe found in the upper left corner of the item image (with the white clock icon within) appears in the 'Watch List.' That is, appears on items that have not yet been purchased. My search goes on, but I do appreciate, very much, the time you took to try and help me.Cheers,Mrchace. Dear Digital:Thanks so much for responding. I came to the same conclusions as you did - that is, that the red diagonal corner with the white clock icon within meant either that the item was ending within 24 hours, or, that it was one of the last items of its kind the seller had up for sale.

But I never saw an 'official' explanation for the symbol, and I looked myself as well as tried to contact eBay for an explanation. (They have never responded.)My question for you is this: is your explantion of the symbol / icon based on your own deductions, or have you seen an 'official' explanation? And if you've seen an official, eBay authorized explanation, where is it????Again, thanks so much for taking the time to respond.Cheers. Wrote.this red diagonal stripe found in the upper left corner of the item image (with the white clock icon within) appears in the 'Watch List.' That is, appears on items that have not yet been purchased. This symbol is not found on the current 'symbols list' on eBay website. This symbol is something new, I see it on the upper left corner of the item on a 'watch list', on my eBay.It seems that it shows up in 2 cases: when there are only 24 hours left till end of the listing - and - when there are multiple same items listed in one 'Buy It Now' listing, letting you know how many items are left for sale. This is my own interpretation of this symbol though - I didn't find any explanation of this symbol on eBay website. Maybe someone else will come up with a better explanation or better information about this symbol.!
